AZ residents needed 2/22-24 to help Candidates Petition for Ballot Access

AZ residents are needed to help Presidential Candidates Petition for AZ Ballot Access next weekend - 2/22-24.

If you live in AZ and can get to Phoenix/Scottsdale, contact us.  Because none of us candidates are AZ residents, we cannot gather petition signatures.  We can draw attention and engage people to sign for a petition gatherer.  There is a big parade in Scottsdale the morning of 2/23 - come sacrifice your sleep to help us gather signatures from 730-930am before the parade starts.

Kat Swift, Kent Mesplay, Jesse Johnson, VP candidate SKCM Curry and tentatively Cyntha Mckinney, will be in AZ for the purposes of boosting the AZ Green Party Ballot Access Drive.  10,000 more signatures are needed so if you are an AZ registered voter, download the form and sign today.

“Anchor babies?”

Published in request for info, Campaigning, International, Policy

so i get this call asking about “anchor babies” and thankfully it was defined for me. I’d never heard this phrase/term. If you haven’t either, it means babies born in the US to undocumented immigrants.

I know there is a long history of this practice, but am not conversant on the issue. If you are or have opinions, please post them here or contact me.

[Follow up: did some wikipedia research and found this is yet another derogatory term used by those who want to demonize children for being born in this country. Still if you have any comments, write them. ]

any lawyers out there who can tell me if we can create anti-trust laws for political parties to prevent them from denying access to voters like in IL on 2/5/8?
